I enountered a wired issue on Oil Pressure Warnings. It is on my 2009 VW golf mk 6, TSI 1.4. Last year, the car had amber oil pressure warning light on when close to service time. (Light is on when start the engine, light can be reset when open bonet and test oil level) Oil level was low but no need to top up.. When accelerating hard with a cold engine my glow plug warning light starts to flash and the car goes into limp mode. Switching the ignition off and back on clears the warning light and the car runs fine again. Once its hot this does not happen. Fault code P164B00 Oil Pressure Switch Mallfunction is activated following the fault.
